Wonderful delicious surprise. On our way home from opryland and looked up this restaurant on yelp. The chicken fingers are huge fresh and juicy. They do everything themselves here. The breading wasn't too much but still crispy. Sweet potato fries and fish tacos are great. The fish was moist and fresh. Spinach artichoke dip is definitely homemade. If we were local we would be back tomorrow!

Ok! YUM! Travelling thru and found on Yelp. Glad we did! Great place! Awesome service. Went for lunch. Had their salmon dip warm. I had the cheeseburger and hubby had mushroom swiss. Cooked to perfection. As were the fries. Will definitely bookmark this place for future stops!

Great huge breakfast omelettes with crispy potatoes n toast. Quick service n waiter Colin attentive n checked back often. Went on a Sunday morning about 11am as I found on yelp on our way from Nashville to bowling green. Not too busy upon arrival but the crowd really filled up the place by 11:45am. Perfect place to stop n grab a quick yummy breakfast. I had ultimate omelette minus bell pepper n onion n they even did crispy potatoes without veggies - very good but a tad bit salty for me but hubby loved em while hubby had bacon n cheese omelette with potatoes with veggies - which I loved. Lost 1 star cuz floor sticky n temp inside too cold. Otherwise excellent n would come again.

Really great service!! Kalee was a funny and fun waitress! Glad we were sat in her section. The steak was ok, nothing spectacular. The fried pickle spears were a great treat! The coup-de-gras was their cheesecake!! Don't leave without trying a piece!!

My husband & I are locals & we eat here often. The food is awesome & the service usually is too. If you like a little spice on everything you will love this place l. My personal favorites are the blackened tilapia & the shrimp sienna pasta. The salad dressings are made in house & are fantastic. Some people have noted that they are a little pricey but considering you get 1-2 sides & a salad/soup with almost every meal (which many restaurants have started charging extra for) I don't think they are too far out of line. However, I would love to see a few more specials from time to time. They do offer a 2 for $25 which includes 2 entrees & a dessert or app, which I think is very reasonable. Every restaurant has an off day but coming from someone who eats here on a regular basis, I am rarely disappointed & have never ordered an entree that wasn't delicious!

Location is out of the way from the interstate. But the food is great. If you like to take a short drive it' worth it!

We picked this restaurant off of yelp. It was so great. We ate at the bar the bartender Ryan was excellent. Took our drink and food order in no time our DELIOUS RIBS were in front of us. 3 different people asked us how everything was. This staff was X-cellent. Will try to get back.

Great place with great small town atmosphere. I had Sunday Brunch. Steak and eggs. Everything was cooked to perfection and the potatoes cooked with peppers were especially good.

Good food, service and atmosphere. Took a little time but it's packed and the food was hot and well prepared, so worth the wait. Reasonably priced! Glad to know it's here, worth the drive from Hendersonville !

This restaurant was recommended at our hotel which was a five minute drive. Initially good service that slowed down a bit. Don't order a burger well done as that means dry. The side of fried potatoes with onions and peppers was very crisp and flavorful. My husband's Philly cheese steak was enjoyable but nothing like a real Philly cheese steak in Philly. The short drive when we were tired made this convenient.

Love this place! Great for a fun and casual date night in White House. I usually get steak. Their mashed potatoes are yummy and the sweet potato fries and dipping sauce are delicious. The staff is friendly and the service hasn't been slow in my experiences going there. One of my favorite White House stops.

Looking around the White House area for a nice restaurant that can handle a party of 25. So not allot of options in the area. I came in here, first thing i noticed was a large bear in the waiting room. Don't worry you wont miss it. The service was nice and friendly, the food was ok. The menu options looked great, lots to choose from, I had the Philly cheese steak (smoked shredded prime rib). Salads are on the small side, and I'm told the sweet tea is great. The only problem I had was the ticket times were slow. With only a handful of people it took a while for our food to get to us. Good for small groups, we will see about the large party.

My wife & I wanted to try something new, so we made the 25 min drive up to White House to try this place after reading all of the reviews. We showed up around 6:45 on a Saturday night, and the place was packed, so we thought it must be good. We thought about trying an appetizer, but all of the ones our server recommended were $8-$10, which is too much for an appetizer at a place like this. We skipped the appetizer. Our server recommended the chicken tenders, ribs, & steaks. My wife got the chicken tenders & fries, and I got the ribeye with red skin mashed potatoes & a side salad. Our server also mentioned a couple of "special" drinks, so we opted to try one. After waiting for a while, I noticed how noisy it was in there. Yes, it was busy, but there just didn't seem to be anything in the place to absorb the excess noise. Anyway, I received my salad, and as I started to sift through it, there were many pieces of lettuce beginning to turn. It wasn't horrible; just looked like it had been sitting in the cooler for a while. I didn't have the patience to eat it, so I put it to the side (come to find out later, it was supposed to have crutons, too, but they were left off). Shortly thereafter, we received our food. The portion of my wife's chicken tenders was huge. I think the server said it was around 20 oz. of chicken! My wife said she liked it. I thought it was average. My steak was cooked perfectly (medium), but it lacked some serious flavor & seasoning, especially for a ribeye (and a $20 one at that). I had to load it up with salt & pepper and ask for A1, which I very rarely ever am required to use (I can only think of 2-3 times in my entire life). The server mentioned how their steaks were really good since the place is essentially a steakhouse. The potatoes were really good. By this time, we still hadn't received our special drink. When the server came by and asked about the food and my steak, I told him I was disappointed with it. I wasn't going to say anything, because it wasn't horrible; it just wasn't what a $20 steak should be. By the way, $20 for a sub-par ribeye is too high of a price point, especially in a restaurant like this. It should have been $15 max, in my opinion. Anyway, I explained my disappointment, how we drove up from Gallatin to try this place, and I just expected more. I only told him because he asked. I also told him to cancel the special drink if it had been entered. He was sincerely apologetic. A minute later the manager came by to check on us. Apparently, our server had told the manager. I explained the same thing to the manager. I wasn't upset or trying to get anything free; I only told the server about the steak because he asked. The manager apologized & wanted us to come back and try their ribs or catfish. After that, the server kept coming by & apologizing. He really wanted us to be happy with our meal, especially since it was our first time. It wasn't his fault. He didn't cook the steak. I did appreciate his sincerity and trying to make best of the situation, though. I could tell he was a good server (can't remember his name). I'm a little surprised by all of the good reviews. Maybe we just went on an "off" night. Part of me would like to try this place again, given how nice the server & manager were, but the other part doesn't. The price of many of the entrees are a bit off-putting, too, especially given this type of restaurant. I'll gladly pay for good food, but I don't think I've seen entrees like the ones at this restaurant at the price point they were. Who knows, maybe the other entrees are worth the price.

Best thing to ever happen to White House. I would even say it's the best non-chain restaurant in the Hendersonville area. Really like their cheese soup, chicken cordon bleu, and fried green beans. Our waiter, John, was super nice and helpful describing the creative menu items.

We only had the soup and bread but it was all great. Cheese/beer soup and even the French Onion had a kick so no pansies. The bread was homemade and amazing. Wyatt, our server, was the beat we've had in a long time; funny, knowledgeable, and a treasure. What a nice find in White House.

Have given this place a chance on several occasions. I was excited to have a local restaurant so close. However, the food is hit and miss, cooks are extremely heavy handed with salt and other seasonings (as in spicy). Ask for dressing on the side (even on a Caesar) or your salad will be swimming in it. Hard to recommend but because of limited options in the area I am sure I will have to go back sometime. Service is also hit and miss. Great concept, poor execution.

I really think the food is overpriced for what they serve. When we went we had a server who was rude and seemed to not know much about the menu. I would not recommend this to any of my friends/ family. White House needs a real place someone has actually heard of.

Everything is fresh and from scratch. Maybe not the best food you've ever had, but absolutely the best you've had in White House. Service is fantastic. We walked right in, but the line was out the door on our way out. So get there early, because the secret is out!

Total surprise to find a place like this in White House. Local pork and beef (antibiotic-free), local produce, homemade dressings and desserts. Burger cooked medium was one of the best I've ever had. Fried green beans were excellent. Atmosphere, decor, service were all fantastic. We've driven by it 100 times, and its so unassuming from the outside, had no idea such a great local treasure was inside! Oh, and family of 4 ate for $50 incl tax and tip (this would have been a $75 meal in Nashville). Will definitely be back again and again!

Really good. Daily drink specials are listed when you walk in the door. There is a 2 for $25 menu, comes with appetizer. Fresh bread is served. We chose the grilled shrimp for appetizer, a steak meal and a sea bass meal. No complaints. Waitress was nice also. We will definitely be back. Today there was an elk. Waitstaff said the animals are switched out.
